CREW REST SEATS - FLOOR MOUNTED

Our unique Floor Mounted Crew Rest Seats provide an option to Panel Mounted Seats yet still meet the Class 2 requirements for medium and long haul flights, such as those operated by charter carriers, where long, round-trip sectors might otherwise require additional crew.

They provide a 45 degree angle of recline for relaxation or sleep, yet they occupy only a 35” pitch, nesting under the seat in front, unlike Panel Mounted seats that require 55” of clear space to deploy the leg rest and foot rest. They can double as a jump seat for taxi, take off and landing (TTL) if required but they are positioned in the cabin, so that they can be used by passengers when not required by crew, creating ultimate flexibility, with no loss of seat capacity.

When panel mounted seats are retro-fitted on legacy aircraft they can cause the loss of six passenger seats for each crew seat, to enable the recline, leg rest and foot rest mechanism to fully deploy. Utilising our inclined slide mechanism negates the necessity for a leg rest and foot rest, although a leg rest (shown below) may be offered as an option.

Panel Mounted seats mounted in galley areas often require only half length food trolleys, limiting capacity, in order to provide enough space for the leg and foot rest to deploy.

Made largely in carbon composite and weighing only circa 10 kg, they are lighter than panel mounted seats and naturally complement the design of Blue Sky's passenger seats.
